A missed call is not a small problem

When someone is ready to call, they are usually close to making a decision.

Speed matters because attention is temporary.

A caller may be in the middle of a repair problem, comparing a few businesses, or trying to get an answer before moving on with their day. If no one answers and nothing happens next, they have an easy reason to call someone else.

The goal is not to sound robotic.

A good response system does not replace a human relationship. It protects the moment before the team can respond. It can acknowledge the call, collect the useful detail, create a task, or make sure a real person knows the lead exists.

Make the next owner obvious.

Every missed call should have a clear home and a clear next move. Decide where it lands, who checks it, how quickly they respond, and what happens if that person is busy. That is not complicated automation. It is basic customer care made reliable.
